Getting to Grand Junction
Travel to and from the Barry Tuckwell Institute is not included and must be arranged individually by the participant. Grand Junction is located approximately 4-5 hours by car from both Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT. Grand Junction has its own airport (GJT) and is also served by Amtrak. Qualified students or teachers may find discounted airfare through www.studentuniverse.com.
To Get to Colorado Mesa University
FROM I-70: Take Exit 31. Turn west (left if from Denver, right if from Utah) on Horizon Drive to 12th Street. Go south on 12th Street, pass the CMU campus and turn right onto North Avenue. Turn right onto Houston Avenue.
FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 50: Take Hwy. 50 north, which turns into 5th Street, through town to North Avenue. Turn east (right) on North Avenue and one block past 12th Street, turn right onto Houston Avenue.
